BMFPD Station 1 at 1950 Linden, Boulder CO 80304

All fire district residents - owners and renters - are invited to attend.

 1.      Learn

  • Practice using a chemical fire extinguisher. BMF volunteer responders will be sure you know how to safely and effectively operate your extinguishers using the P-A-S-S method. Walk-up training for most ages, from 10 until 2.

  • Maximize your wildfire mitigation efforts. Members of BMFPD's professional mitigation team address wildfire-related issues and best mitigation practices – plus news about some community grants to stretch your mitigation $$.  Presentation + Q&A. NO registration required. The session runs 12 to 1:30 in the Community Room (upstairs).

  • Attend the semi-annual New Resident Welcome briefing. Meet Chief Benson and get a jump-start on your mountain safety savvy. The briefing starts at 10.00 am in the Training Room (upstairs). Intended for those who have moved to the fire district in the last couple years, this meeting requires pre-registration. Register here: Spring Welcome Signup

2. Check Your Carseat

  • BMFPD’s own certified child safety seat technician can inspect, install and fit your car seat. Appointments only, from 10 am to 2: sign up will open in March.

3. Test and Recycle

  • Bring your existing fire extinguishers to have them tested by BMFPD volunteers; if they are dry, we’ll recycle them and help you select new ones.

 4. Get Information

  • Information tables are chock full of current info on first aid, pet evacuation, mitigation and the Wildfire Partners program.

5. Buy New Gear

  • Get reflective address kits, fire extinguishers, smoke and CO alarms, and bleed control kits. BMFPD volunteers will help you evaluate your needs based on your home’s layout.

 6. Get Your Kids Involved

  • Visit our kids table with fire safety related puzzles and more; tour a BMFPD engine with a volunteer firefighter.
